Lake Anna Vacation House

An easy 90-minute drive from Front Royal, this sunny lakefront property will provide a vacation experience your family will be talking about for years to come. Catch largemouth bass. Build a fire at twilight in a lakefront fire pit. Watch shooting stars after sunset in a five-person hot tub. You can even pan for gold.

Furnished to accommodate a large family, the dinning area has an extra-large table and seating for 10. Three large bedrooms sleep nine comfortably, though you can fit 15 if you’re creative with sleeping bags. Two full bathrooms ensure no one has long to wait.

A short walk down a gently sloping, semi-wooded hill, Lake Anna awaits. Property features a soft-sand beach and sandy-bottom swimming area. The quiet cove and large dock allow for excellent fishing conditions in this well-stocked lake. Tucked away behind a screen of trees, an easy walk from the house, is our next door neighbor, Anna Cabana Restaurant. The owners always take good care of our renters.

As an exclusive bonus for the Chelsea Gala, the Stanmeyers are offering use of their 8-person, 18-foot, open-bow, Sea Ray ski boat. Ski boats are not available for rent from any marina on Lake Anna. If you water ski or like to go tubing, this boat is a must-have. Prior boating experience is normally required; however, John Stanmeyer will give a boating lesson if the winning bidder is not an experienced boater.

Check out the house’s website, www.SunsetShores.info, for more information and photos. Take a virtual tour!

NOTE: You are bidding on use of the house from June 8-15.

Estimated Value: $3700 (with use of boat and golf cart)

Please note, each Senior Work Day also comes with an experienced parent supervisor on site to make your job even easier. Thank you, class of 2019!

Alec Stanmeyer, Chelsea senior, has often posed big questions. One of his favorites, can God make a rock bigger than He can lift? We’d like to propose another, equally big question. This senior dream-team will lift rocks for you and so much more. Imagine, Chelsea’s very own Jimmy Lee pruning your rosebushes. None other than Colin Campbell could be the one to finally repair your trebuchet.

Get your biggest, toughest, most intimidating outdoor work ready. Our senior guys are up for a challenge.

Adirondack Chairs

Handcrafted by our very own Mike Mueller. Exquisite attention to detail. Painstakingly hand-finished.

The plans for these chairs are a carefully guarded Mueller family secret, passed down to Mike from his father. “My dad used these plans in the early 1950’s. Each time I make them, they bring back many fond memories.”

Create your own fond family memories in these unique, curved-back chairs. Share your own childhood memories with your children as the sun slips below the horizon. Sip iced tea with a neighbor after a day of raking leaves. Raise a glass of bourbon to the future while sitting in the most comfortable chairs you’ve ever imagined.

Mike was willing to share a little bit about his closely-guarded, chair-building process. The chairs are made out of poplar, a wood known for making supple, durable furniture. Each one is assembled with high-quality brass screws. They are stained in Minwax Gunstock, a deep, rich golden brown. Then Mike seals them against the toughest weather with two coats of exterior semi-gloss spar polyurethane. UV blockers in the finishing coat ensure that these chairs will remain looking like-new for years to come.

These chairs take family heirloom to a new level.

Chelsea Shrimp Fest

Here is what you need to know: these shrimp are not created on a farm, injected with antibiotics or hormones, or imported from unknown waters. Born in America and Southern by the grace of God, our wild-caught Gulf Shrimp all had natural and well adjusted pro-life shrimp mamas, who swam in the fertile waters of the Gulf of Mexico and gave their best shrimp years making sure that you are well fed with their delicious offspring.

The Fest: Shrimp Fest 2019 will take place on May 11 in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley at Cottonwood Ranch in Front Royal. A big thanks to Paul and Kristin Uhlenkott for allowing us to use their beautiful barn for this event. You and up to 60 Chelsea-supporting friends will enjoy a Louisiana Fais Do-Do with music, adult beverages, boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, jambalaya, and smoked Boston Butt – with all the fixings. As a little lagniappe, Candice Lee van Schaick will bring some of her world famous key lime and peanut butter pies for dessert. Come pass an evening with great food, great music, and great friends.

The shrimp cooks: Raised on the Louisiana bayou with Farmer Fran and the Water Boy, Chelsea parents Tom and Paul Lagarde learned how to catch, peel, and eat shrimp before they were potty trained. As young boys, they taught Bubba Blue’s mama 47 ways to cook shrimp. Not long after, they sold their boat to Lt. Dan and went to school to learn how to speak English. Their wives can attest to the truth of the old saying that you can take the boys out of the bayou, but you can’t take the bayou out of the boys. Shrimp-peeling attire strongly recommended!

All proceeds benefit Chelsea Academy.
