Renaissance by the River
Chelsea Academy’s 2018 Gala … what an event! Not only was this year’s fundraiser a lovely and enjoyable evening for each and every guest but it was also the school’s most successful Gala to date! The Gala committee pulled out all the stops and poured hours upon hours of detail and thought into every angle and aspect. It absolutely paid off. Chelsea Academy raised more than $50,000 than last year. When I think about what this will mean to current and future students, to the school as a whole, to the tuition angel program – it is really spectacular. The guests were so very generous – and not just generous! They were committed to a worthy cause and their gifts will stretch far beyond the night of the 2018 Gala. Seniors and student ambassadors, willing volunteers, dedicated husbands working behind the scenes … all contributed in a selfless and inspiring way. I am truly grateful for the many, many hands which made all of the preparation that much easier.
I have said it all along … the detail-oriented, caring people who have worked alongside me these past few months have been the reason for the Gala coming together with such fluidity. This in turn led to the huge success of the evening. The support network was there! I was blown away by it. Blown away, and … so touched! The food and desserts were plentiful, timely, delicious, and served with a smile by the talented senior class, Guests were cheerfully greeted at the door by thoughtful student ambassadors. The bartenders worked with rapidity at their stations to serve signature drinks, such as the pear/vanilla/nutmeg concoction titled Highest Bidder, that had been specifically thought up for this event! The event site itself was beautifully decorated and had those thoughtful little touches here and there which added a magical charm to an already delightful evening. Both the silent and live auction displays were tastefully arranged and absolutely eye-catching in every way. Did I already mention the intricate details that went into turning a college commons into an event extraordinare??
The proof is in the pictures, and in the enormous success. Onwards and upwards for the Chelsea Gala 2019! Come and experience this evening in person. You won’t be disappointed.
