Middle School Poetry Recitation Competition

The Middle School poetry recitation competition was filled with high energy, spontaneous recitations, and lots of great poetry. Students from grades six through eight chose and prepared poems to recite before the school. The audience was surprised by several seniors who provided entertaining recitations, some in full Spirit Week costume. Third place went to Bea S. for her recitation of “Dreamers” by Sassoon; second place went to Elaina T. for “Solitude” by Wilcox, and Jerome S. won first place honors with his recitation of “As Kingfishers Catch Fire” by Hopkins.
